We didn’t find many issues to do in close by Denmark WA, but you can keep there as it’s only 20km from Greens Pool. The purple tingle tree is a type of eucalyptus tree, can develop above 60m high and can stay over 400 years old. Their roots are particularly fragile and topic to erosion, hence the reason for the suspended walkway. In 1826, the Brig Amity sailed from Sydney to King George Sound with crew members, 23 convicts, 21 soldiers, home animals, food crops and constructing supplies.

Emu Point is a ten minute drive from the Albany city centre. Follow the signs to Frenchman Bay Road for approximately 20 minutes till you see a left hand flip off Vancouver Road. Turn left into Runnymede Street and take the second driveway on the left.

At the bottom of York Street turn left into Stirling Terrace. Albany Backpackers is located on the end reverse the University, on the corner of Spencer Street. When you attain the massive roundabout at the entrance to Albany, take the North Road exit (2nd exit) and travel to next roundabout, turning left into Ulster Rd. Travel approx 5kms and turn right into Troode St, then left into Emu Point Rd after which left into Clark St which leads into Swarbrick St. Greeble St is 2nd on the right. Starting at the York Street/Stirling Terrace roundabout, head west in Stirling Terrace about 500 metres.

For $25 you will get a sloppy burger, badly seasoned chips and a watered-down soft drink served to you by a child who probably will not bear in mind your order, let alone the final time he washed his palms. Back in Albany why not  strive “The Venice” our native “Italian” – an absolute favorite with all from Albany – The Venice is positioned within the centre of York Street and is BYO. When you hit Mt Barker take a right turn to discover historic Kendenup with unbelievable veiws of the Stirling Range and nice wineries – attempt Arcadia and Gilberts. Witness the facility of the Southern Ocean at The Gap, Natural Bridge and Blow Holes. Find these iconic pure granite phenomena along some of Australia’s most spectacular shoreline within the Torndirrup National Park. Observe the elegance of the enormous windmills on the Albany Wind Farm, and the miraculous 360-degree views afforded by the surrounding stroll trails.

Those same swells have steadily eroded close by granite, creating the Natural Bridge, a singular, arching slab of stone. Matching Albany’s quantity of seashores is its plethora of nearby strolling trails. Visitors can opt for easy strolls or robust treks, mountainous routes or coastal journeys, forested environments or open plains. Located close to the whaling station, 12.5km Bald Head Trail is steep and taxing, taking 6 to 8 hours, but very rewarding, with its elevation revealing panoramic peninsula views.

Discover your next seashore adventure at Beaches of Kinjarling. Borden is a reasonably small city and somewhat to the north of our route back to Albany but we needed to have a fast go searching. There aren’t many main buildings in town nevertheless it was a useful rest cease.
